History: In the Romans’ time, Pline the Old, naturalist writer, already described this alga by the name of Quercus marina, which means "marine oak". The Wrack was then used to relieve the articular pains.
Wrack is a perennial alga which lives on the coasts of the cold seas. Its color is green olive, it can cling to the rocks thanks to its studs, or float on the sea using its many blisters filled with air.
Properties: The Wrack constitutes a real concentrate of the marine environment. The Wrack is a brown alga whose thallus is particularly rich in rock salt, trace elements, vitamins and iodine.
By its composition, it provokes a general stimulation of the organism and it is used in the cases of tiredness and adynamy.
In addition, the Wrack is traditionally used to facilitate the loss of weight, in complement to dietetic treatments: thanks to their mucilaginous structure, the thalli of Wrack are remoisturized by increasing considerably their volume, causing a feeling of gastric fullness (mechanical effect that cuts hunger).

Moreover, by its important iodine content, the Wrack is known for its role in the metabolism of fat of the organism (one could call them "fat-eater").
The action of these mucilages, is extremely beneficial in the treatments for the loss of weight: feeling of fullness of the stomach (reduction of the appetite), chelating action of the nutrients in the intestine, mainly preventing their absorption and thus causing a reduction of the number of food calories assimilated.
The richness of the Wrack in trace elements, vitamins and rock salt makes it possible to bring essential nutritive elements during treatments for the loss of weight.
Indications:
Obesity: treatments for the loss of weight,
